Candle Snuff fungus on dead wood
and

Hello Highlander,
I would love to be your friend. I have been in the Geogian mountains but have just looked at Wiki on Dagestan and it looks very interesting. I know a little Russian which I learnt at school. I would be glad to correspond with you in English.
Regards John.

The experience I was trying to reveal was first the unusual black and white objects with associations of death, snuffed out candle and burnt wood and then after thinking on these for some time the delight of seeing the bright green of the ferns against their brown background in the wood, an image I left to imagination.
